to question inherited beliefs and values we obey without questioning and redefine what we call “true.”

Chapter One
TRUE CURRENCY
TRUE CURRENCY is the first edition in the TRUE STORY series.
In this piece, Ilana transforms America’s most recognizable symbol of wealth into a message of empowerment and compassion.
The artwork replaces “In God We Trust” with "IN LOVE WE TRUST" and renames “Independence Hall” to "INDEPENDENCE FOR ALL", reframing independence not as something bought, but as something built collectively through knowledge and human connection.
